This project involved developing a visual and verbal brand language that communicated quality and intimacy without resorting to explicit or overt imagery and language.
The challenge extended to creating a brand experience that felt safe and inviting to a broad audience, including those who might be new or hesitant about such products. It was essential to foster an environment of trust and class, where customers felt comfortable exploring their intimate needs.
Another key aspect was differentiating the brand in a market that can often lean towards more provocative marketing. We needed to ensure that the brand stood out for its elegance and subtlety, aligning more with a high-end retail experience rather than a typical adult store vibe. This needed to feel like it belonged in a Beverly Hills shopping experience. Not that strip mall down the street. Pun intended.
Dark tones dominate the color palette, naturally conveying a sense of privacy and intimacy. And while dark tones establish sophistication and discretion, the addition of a blue to pink gradient on the logo and key brand assets introduces a softer, more approachable element. This made the brand more inviting and less intimidating, especially to customers who are new to adult toys.
The unique blue to pink gradient set against dark backgrounds distinguished the brand in the market. It provides a distinctive visual identity that stands out from competitors, many of whom may rely on more traditional color schemes in the adult toy industry.
Designing an identity that resonated with the brand's discreet vision, yet still captured the attention and interest of potential customers, required careful thought and creativity. The aim was to appeal to consumers’ desires for quality and discretion, making them feel that they are investing in more than just a product, but in an elevated experience.
